Welcome to Vignette Street!

Most of the stops here are and will be accounts of the busking life.  And since every busker must juggle day-jobs to make that life possible.  I'm including at least two glimpses (Would You Like an A With That? and American Monday) into one of mine, that of a college writing instructor from 1984 to 2002.  The narrative material in both is extracted from 2001:  A Busker's Odyssey over on History Street.

These will be on a side-street I'll call College-de-Sac, which, if nothing else, should serve as background for the career change dramatized in Long Live the Queen! --an account which also offers a glimpse into the workings of the outdoor, living theater of a renaissance faire.   Indeed, College-de-Sac may well answer what may be the most frequently asked question in theater:  "What's my motivation?"
